What has changed
A change of pier due to high wind and waves affects all Lomprayah services normally using Pralarn Pier (Maenam Pier) on Koh Samui. Lomprayah Announcement: The Pralarn Pier (Maenam Pier) office branch required to move all of the route itinerary involved in Pralarn Pier (Maenam Pier) (Both of arriving and departure) to Nathon instead due to the weather condition as following.
Affected departure times
The relevant route itinerary of Pralarn Pier:
- Departure time: 08:00 AM
- Departure time: 08:30 AM
- Departure time: 12:30 PM
- Departure time: 14:30 PM
- Departure time: 16:30 PM
All of the mentioned route departure time on the above and the arriving at Pralarn Pier (Maenam Pier) will be moved to Nathon Pier operation from 16 November 2023 to 20 November 2023 until we update the information later.
Note on the dates
Please check before you travel: the announcement headline refers to 18–20 November 2023, while the operator's notice states the change runs from 16 November 2023 to 20 November 2023. The wider window is the safer assumption, but confirm your own date on your ticket before setting out.
Who this affects
Anyone holding a Lomprayah ticket that lists Pralarn Pier (Maenam Pier) as the departure or arrival point on Koh Samui during this period is affected. Both directions are included — arrivals as well as departures. Passengers on combined tickets that include a road transfer on either side should expect the pick-up or drop-off point to follow the pier change.
What travellers should do
- Go to Nathon Pier, not Maenam, for the departure times listed above.
- Allow extra travelling time: Nathon sits on the west coast of Koh Samui, so the road journey from Maenam, Bophut or Chaweng will differ from your original plan.
- Keep your booking reference to hand and arrive early, as pier staff may be handling relocated services.
