Important Travel Update: Temporary Change of Piers
In a recent development affecting our valued customers, we want to inform you of a temporary change of piers due to essential road maintenance. This change, announced by our operator, Lomprayah, will be in effect from December 21, 2023, to 26 December, 2023.
Details of the Temporary Change
Originally, departures and arrivals were scheduled from various piers across beautiful destinations:
- Samui > Maenam Pier - Chumphon > Thung Makham Noi Pier
- Phangan Island > Thong Sala Pier - Chumphon > Thung Makham Noi Pier
- Tao Island > Mae Haad Pier - Chumphon > Thung Makham Noi Pier
- Chumphon > Thung Makham Noi Pier - Samui Island > Maenam Pier
- Chumphon > Thung Makham Noi Pier - Phangan Island > Thong Sala Pier
- Chumphon > Thung Makham Noi Pier - Tao Island > Mae Haad Pier
During the temporary period, all departures and arrivals will be redirected to LP-Marine. You can easily locate LP-Marine on Google Maps https://maps.app.goo.gl/i7iKTGyMrEoZKAH66.
Who is affected by the temporary change of piers
The update applies to travellers holding Lomprayah tickets on the six connections listed above, in both directions, for travel dates between 21 and 26 December 2023. Journeys outside those dates, and services run by other operators, are not affected by this notice.
Only the pier location changes. Unless our team contacts you directly, the details on your booking confirmation — operator, departure time and ticket conditions — stay as issued. Please travel with your confirmation to hand so staff at LP-Marine can check you in quickly.
Important Travel Tips
To ensure a seamless transition during this period, we kindly request all passengers to arrive at least 1 hour in advance. This will give you ample time to organize any necessary free land transfers between the piers directly with Lomprayah.
A few extra points worth planning for:
- Set your own taxi, hotel pick-up or onward transport to LP-Marine rather than the original pier.
- Allow additional buffer time if you have a connecting bus, minivan or flight after your crossing.
- Road maintenance can affect traffic in the area, so leave earlier than usual.
