Two waterfalls in the island's forested interior - one reachable from the car park, one at the end of a steep climb.
Na Muang Waterfalls, Koh Samui
The Na Muang falls are in the hills at the centre of Koh Samui and are the island's largest. Na Muang 1 drops around eighteen metres into a pool a few minutes' walk from the road, and is the one most visitors see. Na Muang 2 is considerably higher, at roughly eighty metres, and is reached by a steep uphill path through the forest.
The water is at its fullest in and after the wet season and can slow to a trickle late in a dry year, so the falls reward a visit more at some times than others. The pool at Na Muang 1 is a swimming spot when the flow allows.
The upper path is unpaved, root-crossed and slippery after rain - proper shoes rather than sandals. Both falls sit inland, so they are usually combined with a wider circuit of the island rather than visited on their own.

- Wat Khunaram, Koh Samui — The temple that displays the preserved body of the monk Luang Pho Daeng, seated in meditation.
- Wat Plai Laem, Koh Samui — A temple complex built out over a lake, best known for its eighteen-armed white statue of Guanyin.
