Pattaya Bottle Art Museum

The Bottle Art Museum is exactly what its name says: a collection of several hundred miniature models — sailing ships, Thai temples, European cathedrals, houses and landmarks — each built inside a glass bottle, many of them with necks far too narrow for the finished object to have passed through whole.

The interest is in the technique as much as the models. Displays explain how the pieces are assembled and raised in place with long tools through the neck of the bottle, and the workmanship rewards a close look.

The museum is small, air-conditioned and quiet, and takes under an hour.
