Farang Beach, widely called Charlie Beach after the resort at its northern end, is the main beach on Koh Mook's west coast: a broad curve of sand with limestone rising at either end and clear, shallow water.
It faces west, so it takes the sunset, and it is the island's centre of gravity for visitors - most of the accommodation and the beachfront restaurants are here. The island itself is still a working Muslim fishing community, with the village and its pier on the opposite, eastern side.
The beach shelves gently and swims well at most states of tide. The Emerald Cave is a short longtail ride around the northern headland.

- Emerald Cave (Tham Morakot), Koh Mook — A sea cave on Koh Mook's west cliffs, swum through in the dark to a hidden beach inside a collapsed cavern.
- Sivalai Beach, Koh Mook — A sand spit on Koh Mook's east side with water on three sides and a view across to the mainland.
