Sivalai Beach, Koh Mook

Sivalai Beach occupies a narrow sand spit reaching east from Koh Mook, with water on three sides and long views over the Trang coast and the karst islands scattered between.

It is a very different place from Farang Beach on the west: shallower, calmer, and looking at sunrise rather than sunset. The island's main village and pier are a short walk away, so it is the side of Koh Mook where island life carries on around you.

The water off the spit is extremely shallow and retreats a long way at low tide, which makes it better for wading and for the view than for swimming at those hours.
