Bang Bao Beach, Koh Kood
Ao Bang Bao on Koh Kood's south-west coast is a compact horseshoe of very white sand enclosed by headlands, with clear shallow water and forest coming almost down to the beach.
It regularly appears in lists of Thailand's best beaches, and unlike most such places it is still quiet - a handful of resorts and nothing else.
It is a short walk from Khlong Chao around the headland or a few minutes by road. Note that Koh Kood and Koh Chang each have a bay called Bang Bao; this is the Koh Kood one.
