Khao To Sae Viewpoint
Khao To Sae is the higher of the two hills that rise directly behind Phuket Town, next to the better-known Khao Rang. The road up is short, and the reward is the clearest overview of the town anyone gets: the grid of the old quarter below, the newer districts spreading east, and the coast and bay beyond.
Late afternoon is the usual time to go, when the heat has dropped and the light is behind you over the town. It pairs naturally with a walk through Phuket Old Town, which sits at the foot of the hill.
