Klong Khong Beach, Koh Lanta
Klong Khong sits midway down Koh Lanta's west coast and has a character of its own: more rock than sand at low tide, a scattering of driftwood bars along the shore, and a reggae-and-hammock reputation it has held for years.
Swimming is awkward - coral rubble and rocks are exposed when the tide is out - but the sunsets are the best on the island and the beach bars are why people stay. The reef offshore is snorkellable at high tide.
Reef shoes are worth having. The beach is around twenty-five minutes south of Saladan by road.

- Khao Mai Kaew Cave, Koh Lanta — A large cave system in the island's forested interior, visited on a guided scramble by torchlight.
- Bakantiang Beach (Ba Kan Tiang), Koh Lanta — A sheltered horseshoe bay near the island's southern end, and one of Lanta's best for swimming.
- Kaw Kwang Beach, Koh Lanta — The beach on the headland north of Saladan, looking across the channel to Koh Lanta Noi.
- Khlong Chak Waterfall, Koh Lanta — A jungle waterfall in the island's south-east, reached by a walk upstream - and dry outside the wet season.
- Klong Dao Beach, Koh Lanta — The first beach south of the pier, wide and shallow, and the island's most family-friendly.
- Klong Nin Beach, Koh Lanta — A long sandy beach in the quieter south, with clear water and a small village behind it.
