Sai Daeng Beach, Koh Tao
Sai Daeng is a short stretch of sand on Koh Tao's south-east coast, looking out at the small rocky islet of Koh Kong Sai Daeng just offshore. The islet is close enough to swim to and the reef between the two is the reason most people come.
The beach itself is quiet, with a resort at one end and little else. It sits between Shark Bay and Ao Leuk, so all three fit into one circuit of the south-east.
The access road is steep and the beach can be exposed when the wind is up from the east.
